The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance place created for intervention experiences a large influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
