The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed in regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for intervention encounters a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to SRD the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
